Living Earth Organics Processing Facility Rebuild
Client: Living Earth Limited
Organic Processing Plant, Bromley, Christchurch
The February earthquake seriously damaged the composting chambers at the Living Earth Plant in Bromley.
In order to provide some continuity of service for the plant, the rebuild of the chambers by Ebert Construction was carried out in two stages.
Each stage comprised of 90 wall panels cast in advance using special concrete to minimise the damage from the organic materials.
A number of further panels were supplied for the upgraded service buildings on the site.
Fonterra Darfield Drier 2 project

Milk Processing Plant for Fonterra, Darfield
Early in 2012 we were subcontracted by Ebert Construction to supply the off site precast concrete for the Dryer 2 tower for Fonterra in Darfield.
Over a period of nine months we supplied 44 columns, 190 beams, 2 floor units and 504 panels.
All items were delivered on schedule to a high standard of finish.
Oceania Dairy Project Glenavy

Milk Processing Plant for Oceania Dairy Company, Glenavy, South Canterbury
We are pleased to be selected by Ebert Construction to supply the precast concrete for the new dryer tower and ancillary buildings for Yili in Glenavy, South Canterbury.
Despite a demanding delivery programme we were able to supply the 49 columns, 116 beams, 5 floors and 590 panels on time and to the high standard of finish demanded.
Christchurch Engine Centre
Client: Fletcher Construction Limited
Air New Zealand Engine Centre Building – Christchurch Airport, Christchurch
Fletcher Construction chose us to supply the precast for the warehouse and office buildings for the Christchurch Engine Centre for Pratt & Whitney on their Harewood site.
The 36 No. panels were all supplied on time and to the highest standard.

Prebbleton School
Client: Contract Construction
Classroom Block for Prebbleton Primary School, Christchurch
The post-earthquake move to the south west of the city has put a strain on schools and school buildings.
The new classroom block at Prebbleton School was designed by CA Thomas and Associates and built by Contract Construction.
For this project Cancast Ltd supplied frames, spandrels, walls and stairs which provided the structural ground floor for the building.
Carlton Hotel
Client: Cook Brothers
Rebuild of the Carlton Hotel, Papanui Road, Christchurch
The rebuild of the famous Carlton Hotel was one of the first major rebuild projects in the city.
The building was designed by Chris Prebble Architects and the main contractor was Cook Brothers.
Our contribution to this challenging project was 39 quite complex panels and 4 stairs.
Panels were manufactured to a tight timeframe and delivered to a difficult site with minimal impact on the busy streeets adjacent to the site.
